| Reverse description | The central device features a full-color photographic-style depiction of Australian motorcycle racer Troy Bayliss leaning aggressively into a circuit corner aboard his Ducati 1098R Xerox-sponsored Superbike, numbered 21, rendered in vivid red, white, and black livery. A detailed relief of a grandstand with spectators occupies the background in the upper left field. The SBK 2008 World Champion laurel-wreath emblem and the legend DUCATI appear in the upper field, with the year 2009 incused to the lower right. The inscription DUCATI CORSE is engraved in bold letters along the lower periphery. |

| Additional information |
Troy Bayliss retired from World Superbike racing in 2008 having won three world championships, the last of them in 2006 after coming out of retirement to replace an injured Ducati factory rider — then winning the title at the first attempt. Palau's commemorative program has long issued licensed celebrity and motorsport pieces through third-party distributors, with little pretense of connection to the island nation itself.
