This Teutonic Knight dollar is one such piece — a German-market collectible with a Pacific legal tender face value that will never see circulation in either jurisdiction.
The Teutonic Order was founded in 1190 during the Siege of Acre and evolved from a hospitaller brotherhood into a territorial military power controlling the Baltic region through the 13th and 14th centuries.
