Reverse description The reverse depicts a kneeling terracotta archer warrior rendered in three-dimensional high relief, faithfully reproducing the iconic figure from the mausoleum of Emperor Qin Shi Huang. The warrior is shown in a posture of readiness, with the right knee raised and the left knee on the ground, clad in intricately detailed lamellar armour with riveted plates across the chest and articulated shoulder guards. The face exhibits individualised features including a top-knot hairstyle, a composed expression, and a short beard, characteristic of the Qin dynasty warrior sculptures. The antique finish accentuates the depth of the sculpted armour, fabric folds, and decorative boot tips, lending the piece a strongly sculptural, three-dimensional quality.
