Reverse description The reverse features a full-length colored depiction of Superman standing at center, rendered in his iconic blue suit with red cape, red boots, and the yellow-bordered 'S' shield emblem on his chest. Flanking the central colored figure on both sides are two incuse engraved black-and-white silhouette renditions of Superman in dynamic flying poses, set against a starburst and dot-pattern background that evokes a comic-book graphic style. The Justice League logo, a stylized badge in blue and silver with a star, appears prominently in the lower field. Additional information

Part of the licensed DC Comics bullion series, this issue arrived during a period when sovereign mints across the Pacific — Samoa, Niue, Tuvalu — were aggressively competing for the collectible bullion market by securing entertainment IP agreements. Samoa's arrangement with Warner Bros. gave it access to the full DC roster, and Superman was an obvious first-tier choice.

The KM#622 assignment places it firmly within the modern commemorative surge that followed the 2010s bullion boom.
