Aanvullende informatie

The Springleaf series, introduced by MAS in 2004, replaced the long-running Flower series that had circulated since 1967. Singapore's decision to redesign its coinage at that point was partly administrative — the Flower series coins had accumulated decades of accumulated design variants and the authority wanted a unified, modernized set across all denominations. The dollar coin in this series saw relatively limited circulation life; electronic payments adoption in Singapore accelerated sharply through the mid-2000s, and large-denomination coins were among the first casualties.
