The heading SILVER CERTIFICATE appears above the portrait in bold letterpress, with the obligation text and denomination ONE DOLLAR printed across the lower register. Ornate guilloche underprints in pale green provide background security patterning across the entire face. |

The motto IN GOD WE TRUST appears on a scroll banner above ONE, a feature added to Series 1935G and later issues. The overall design is rendered in green intaglio on a pale green guilloche ground. |
