| 背面描述 | The entire face of the reverse is occupied by a large central vignette of Canadian Pacific steam locomotive No. 3101, rendered in green letterpress with precise mechanical detail including driving wheels, boiler, and tender bearing the inscription CANADIAN PACIFIC. The locomotive is shown broadside on a track, with a ghost underprint of the serial number visible behind the image. Numeral 1 counters appear in the upper corners within bordered panels, and the word ONE is repeated in bold at each lower corner, all within a guilloche border frame. The printer's imprint CANADIAN BANK NOTE COMPANY, LIMITED appears at the base. |

| 备注 |
Smiths Falls issued this note as a promotional trade dollar for its 1979 Settlers Days festival — a common municipal scrip format in Canada during the 1970s, when towns increasingly used limited-issue paper souvenirs to drive local retail spending during annual celebrations. The Canadian Bank Note Company's involvement is slightly unexpected for something so local and ephemeral; most festival scrip of this period was handled by smaller commercial printers, so CBN's production gives this note a crispness of execution unusual for the format.
The security dots are a genuine CBN house feature, not decorative — the same substrate technology used on far more consequential government issues.
