表面の説明 Fantasy note based on the standard U.S. Federal Reserve Note layout, with the central portrait vignette replaced by a photographic image of French singer-songwriter Serge Gainsbourg, shown with a cigarette in his mouth, set within an oval frame with foliate surround. The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco seal appears to the left of the portrait, while the green Treasury Department seal is positioned to the right, accompanied by the inscription WASHINGTON, D.C. and series year 2009. Denomination numeral 1 appears at all four corners with ornate guilloche scrollwork borders throughout, and two facsimile signatures appear at the lower portion of the note.

裏面の説明 Reverse retains the standard green intaglio design of the U.S. one dollar note, with the Great Seal of the United States rendered in two circular vignettes flanking the large central word ONE set in bold guilloche lettering. The left vignette contains the reverse of the Great Seal — an unfinished pyramid surmounted by the Eye of Providence with the legends ANNUIT COEPTIS and NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM — while the right vignette bears the obverse of the Great Seal with the heraldic eagle. The motto IN GOD WE TRUST is inscribed above the central denomination, and the legend THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA runs along the upper border above dense guilloche underprint.

This is a fantasy or novelty piece, not a legitimate banknote issued by any sovereign or recognized monetary authority. The denomination "1 Dollar" paired with Serge Gainsbourg — the French singer-songwriter who died in 1991 — places it firmly outside any real issuing context. No government has authorized a Gainsbourg dollar.

Novelty notes of this type circulate as collectibles, occasionally as artist editions or limited promotional runs, but carry no catalog standing in mainstream Pick or IBNS listings. Collecting interest depends almost entirely on Gainsbourg's continued cult status in France.
