| Obverse description | The obverse features the national coat of arms of the Republic of Palau at center, depicting a crowned sea god (Neptune) seated and holding a trident, accompanied by a mermaid, within a shield-shaped cartouche adorned with marine flora; above the shield, a traditional Palauan outrigger canoe with a figure paddling is shown in the upper field. Eight five-pointed stars are arranged in a semicircle around the shield. The curved legend 'REPUBLIC OF PALAU' arcs along the upper periphery, the series name 'RAINBOW'S END' appears within the lower portion of the shield, and the denomination '1$' is inscribed at the bottom of the field. |
