| Obverse description | The obverse displays the coat of arms of the Republic of Palau centrally positioned within the skull-shaped flan, depicting a seated figure of Neptune holding a trident accompanied by a mermaid, set within an ornate shield with a crescent moon and star above. The inscription REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs along the upper field, flanked by a row of five-pointed stars on either side.
