| 背面描述 | The reverse is printed in brown and olive tones, dominated by a large central dragon watermark-style vignette rendered in pale green intaglio against a guilloche ground. The header repeats 'PEIYANG TIENTSIN BANK' and the footer bears the place-name 'TIENTSIN' within a decorative panel. The central field is densely filled with vertical columns of Chinese text setting out the terms and conditions of the note, flanked on the left by two columns of Manchu script. Corner medallions contain Chinese characters for the denomination. |

| 备注 |
The Peiyang Tientsin Bank was one of several short-lived provincial institutions that emerged during the last years of the Qing dynasty, when regional military governors — in this case the Beiyang clique under Yuan Shikai's sphere of influence — sought independent financial instruments to fund local administration and army payroll. The bank's name reflects that political alignment directly: "Peiyang" was synonymous with Yuan Shikai's northern military network, not a neutral geographic descriptor.
Bradbury Wilkinson produced the plate work in London to a high engraved standard, as was their practice for Chinese provincial clients during this period. The bank did not survive the republican transition of 1912, which severely limits the window of genuine circulation for any note in this series.
