| Aanvullende informatie |
The Passamaquoddy are one of the few Native nations to have successfully sued the United States government and won — their 1980 land claim settlement returned 300,000 acres of Maine woodland and $27 million. The "Native American Mint" is a private commercial operation, not a tribally authorized body, and these pieces carry no legal tender status under U.S. or tribal law.
