Aanvullende informatie

Belize issued a series of silver dollars through the late 1990s and early 2000s commemorating pre-Columbian civilizations, with this piece falling within that program. The Maya occupied what is now Belize continuously from roughly 1500 BC, with major centers including Caracol and Lamanai — the latter remaining inhabited well into the Spanish colonial period, unusually late for a lowland Maya site.

KM#134 was struck at the British Royal Mint under contract, consistent with Belize's coinage arrangements at the time.
