Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse depicts a scenic composite view of Kent Ridge Park, part of Singapore's Southern Ridges trail network. Prominent in the design is the Reflections at Bukit Chandu heritage building, rendered in fine detail with its distinctive red-tiled roof and arched entrance, set amid lush tropical foliage and trees. A lookout tower appears in the upper portion of the scene, while a modern pedestrian bridge is depicted in the lower foreground. The denomination '$1' appears to the right of the central vignette, with 'KENT RIDGE PARK' arching along the upper border and 'Southern Ridges' inscribed in stylized lettering across the lower field.

Aanvullende informatie

Kent Ridge Park sits on land where, in February 1942, Malay Regiment soldiers fought one of the few organized ground defenses against the Japanese advance down the peninsula — a last stand that preceded the fall of Singapore by days. The park designation and subsequent memorialization came decades later, with this coin issued as part of MAS's ongoing series commemorating Singapore's green spaces and heritage sites.
