Aanvullende informatie

Liberia's early 2000s dollar series is frankly a collector's minefield — the country was in the grip of Charles Taylor's government, civil war was escalating toward the 2003 crisis, and these coins were struck abroad almost certainly by the Pobjoy Mint or a similar private contractor, bearing no meaningful relationship to Liberian domestic commerce. They circulated nowhere.

Fangio won five Formula One World Championships between 1951 and 1957, a record that stood for 46 years until Schumacher surpassed it in 2003 — the year after this coin appeared.
