正面描述 Left-facing effigy of King George V, crowned and robed, after the original portrait by Percy Metcalfe as used on the 1935 Canadian silver dollar. The king wears an ornate imperial crown and is draped in royal robes, rendered in high relief with selective gold plating applied to the crown and robes contrasting against the frosted silver bust. The field features an engraved wavy-line guilloche background pattern. The circumferential legend reads GEORGIVS V REX IMPERATOR ANNO REGNI XXV, separated by the effigy, within a fine beaded inner border.

附加信息

The Voyageur dollar design — originally created by Emanuel Hahn and first struck in 1935 — was revived here as a deliberate centennial acknowledgment of that debut issue. Hahn's composition was itself a nationalistic statement: the beaver-trapping canoe scene replaced a design tradition rooted entirely in British imperial imagery. The irony of pairing it with a George V obverse is not accidental; the 1935 original also bore his portrait, making this a near-exact genealogical echo of that Depression-era commemorative.

Struck in .9999 fine silver — a purity standard the RCM pioneered commercially — rather than the sterling used in 1935.
