| 正面描述 | The obverse features the sixth and final effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Jody Clark, depicted in right-facing profile with a diademed and elaborately coiffed portrait, wearing drop earrings and a pearl necklace. The effigy is rendered in high relief against a frosted field, framed by a recessed inner border. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper left, with the regnal dates 1952–2022 inscribed at the top and AUSTRALIA along the right. Below the bust, the inscriptions 1oz 9999 Ag and 1 DOLLAR are incused along the lower field, with the engraver's initials JC visible at the lower left of the portrait. |

Australia's Year of the Dragon dollar sits within a long-running lunar series that Perth Mint has produced continuously since 1996, making 2024 the third time the dragon has appeared in the sequence. The colored enamel application on these issues is applied after striking, a post-mint process Perth has refined considerably over the decades but one that still disqualifies the piece from most traditional grading standards for surface preservation.
Elizabeth II's sixth portrait, by sculptor Susanna Blunt, was first introduced in 2023 — meaning this is among the earliest dragon coins to carry it.
