背面描述 Central depiction of the iconic Big Pineapple landmark — a large stylised pineapple structure flanked by palm trees — set against a dynamic background of diagonal sunray lines that fill the upper right field. To the left of the central motif, a directional signpost bears the inscription WOOMBYE, referencing the Queensland town where the attraction is located. To the right, a tourist figure wearing a sun hat and carrying a bag is visible among additional palm fronds. The bold raised inscription THE BIG PINEAPPLE appears prominently to the upper right of the main device.

附加信息

The Big Pineapple, located near Nambour in Queensland, opened in 1971 as part of a wave of oversized roadside attractions — known colloquially as the "Big Things" — that became a distinctly Australian phenomenon across the 1970s and 80s. The Royal Australian Mint's ongoing dollar series celebrating these structures has leaned deliberately into nostalgia, targeting a generation for whom a family detour to a fibreglass fruit was a genuine childhood event. The Big Pineapple was heritage-listed in 2009, the first such recognition for a "Big Thing" in Australia.
