| 正面描述 | Central field displays the coat of arms of the Republic of Palau, featuring a traditional Palauan scene with a fisherman and a woman beneath a star, all within a shield surmounted by a traditional canoe. The legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs along the upper periphery in raised Latin lettering, flanked by a series of five-pointed stars on each side. The secondary legend RAINBOW'S END appears in the lower field beneath the coat of arms, with the denomination 1 $ inscribed at the very bottom of the inner disc. The token is set within a blue and white clay composite chip-style border with notched edges. |

Palau has been issuing novelty legal tender under licensing arrangements since the 1990s, with the actual striking and distribution handled almost entirely by foreign private mints — the government's role is largely that of a franchisor. This horseshoe-shaped clay composite piece sits firmly in that tradition: a souvenir product with a face value that bears no relationship to production cost or any circulating monetary system.
Clay composite coinage has no meaningful numismatic precedent and degrades unpredictably with handling.
