| Obverse description | The obverse features the national coat of arms of Palau centrally positioned within the egg-shaped flan, depicting a classical allegorical scene with a figure of Neptune holding a trident, flanked by a female figure and a sea turtle above breaking waves, enclosed within a decorative shield. The legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs along the upper field, accompanied by a row of small five-pointed stars arranged around the upper perimeter. The series name RAINBOW'S END appears in the exergue of the shield, and the denomination 1$ is inscribed in the lower field. The entire design is rendered in polished proof finish on the gold flan. |

| Reverse description | The reverse presents a highly detailed high-relief depiction of a young dragon emerging from within a cracked egg, rendered in polished gold against a black-enamelled background. The dragon hatchling is shown in a curled posture occupying the lower-left portion of the field, with finely sculpted scales, claws, folded wings, and a horned head turned upward, conveying a sense of life and movement. The cracked egg shell pattern is visible in the blackened upper and right portions of the field, with stylised bare branches extending across the darkened background. No inscriptions appear on the reverse, allowing the dramatic sculptural design to dominate the egg-shaped flan. |
