Obverse description The obverse displays the Singapore Arms of State in the central field, featuring two upright lions as supporters flanking a shield charged with a crescent moon and five stars, above an open scroll bearing the national motto 'MAJULAH SINGAPURA'. The legend 'SINGAPURA' arcs along the upper periphery in Latin script, flanked on the left by the Tamil inscription 'சிங்கப்பூர்' and on the right by the Chinese characters '新加坡'. The date of issue appears in the lower central field, with 'SINGAPORE' inscribed along the lower rim in Latin script.
