Reverse description The reverse depicts a stylised video game controller rendered in full relief, shaped to echo the outline of a classic dual-grip gamepad, which also defines the overall shape of the coin. The design features a directional pad on the left, a four-way cross button on the right, two circular analogue stick indicators in the lower centre, and two crescent-shaped trigger buttons at the lower corners. Three upward-pointing arrows are struck in the centre field, and the legend NEXT LEVEL is inscribed prominently between the upper control elements.

Additional information

Palau has operated one of the more aggressive novelty bullion programs in the Pacific, licensing its sovereign authority to European minting houses — primarily in Austria and Poland — since the 1990s. This piece is almost certainly a product of that arrangement rather than anything struck on Palauan soil. At 0.5g of .9999 gold, the face value is purely nominal; no one has ever spent one.
