Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse presents a vibrant full-color depiction of a majestic tiger in a recumbent pose, facing the viewer frontally with alert yellow eyes, set against a naturalistic background of rocky outcrops, tropical foliage, and a pale blue sky. The tiger's orange and black striped coat is rendered in fine detail using applied color printing over a milled silver field. The Perth Mint's mintmark P appears incused in the lower left field, and the designer's initials LB are similarly placed in the lower right field. The entire composition fills the annular sector flan, integrating the design seamlessly with the coin's distinctive fan-shaped format.

Aanvullende informatie

One of four coins in a quadrant series designed so that all pieces interlock into a single composite image — a format popularized by the Perth Mint over the past two decades for collector-driven lunar issues. Tuvalu has issued lunar coinage under Australian licensing arrangements since the late 1990s, with the legal tender status being largely nominal given the territory's near-total reliance on Australian currency in daily commerce.

The Year of the Tiger falls in a 12-year cycle; the 2022 issue corresponds to the Water Tiger, the last such occurrence before 2034.
