Tokelau — three coral atolls with a combined land area of roughly 12 square kilometers and no indigenous coinage tradition whatsoever — has issued collector coins since 2012 under a New Zealand-administered program that uses the territory's name and nominal association with the Crown almost entirely as a vehicle for the bullion and numismatic gift market.
