| Beschrijving keerzijde | A richly detailed polychrome scene celebrating the Chinese Lunar Year of the Goat, set within a scalloped cabbage-leaf-shaped flan whose lobed border frames the composition. A large adult goat with gilded horns is depicted centrally in high relief, rearing upright beside a wicker basket overflowing with colorfully enameled vegetables including cabbage, carrots, and radishes. Three playful kid goats with gilded hooves frolic around the central figure amid scattered floral motifs in the lower field. A full moon rises in the upper left background, and stylized cabbage leaves rendered in relief form the outer border of the design. The reverse carries no inscriptions, allowing the elaborate sculptural and enameled imagery to dominate the field. |
