| 正面描述 | Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the third portrait by Raphael David Maklouf, depicting the Queen wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara with floral ornaments, drop earrings, and a pearl necklace. The legend QUEEN ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper periphery, while 1 DOLLAR, TUVALU, and the date 2010 are arranged around the lower portion of the field. The engraver's initials RDM appear in small relief below the truncation of the neck. The portrait is rendered in fine cameo relief against a deeply mirrored proof field. |

Part of Perth Mint's ongoing wildlife series, this issue commemorates the Yangtze River dolphin — more precisely, the baiji (Lipotes vexillifer), which was declared functionally extinct following a 2006 survey that found zero individuals despite six weeks of systematic searching. The coin appeared four years after that survey, by which point the species had already become the first cetacean driven to extinction in modern times through human activity alone.
