| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, after the portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper left periphery and COOK ISLANDS along the upper right. The date 2004 is divided either side of the truncation, with the engraver's initials IRB below the bust. The denomination ONE DOLLAR is inscribed along the lower periphery. The field is mirror-polished to proof standard. |
