| Obverse description | The crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II faces right, rendered after Ian Rank-Broadley's fourth definitive portrait, set within a raised circular inner frame occupying the upper left quadrant of the field. Surrounding the portrait, the remaining field is dramatically divided into a mirrored composition of polished and frosted areas depicting the solar system, with concentric orbital rings sweeping across the surface. Positioned along the orbits are raised roundels bearing the classical astronomical symbols of the planets — including Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune — as well as a stylised representation of Saturn with its ring system in the lower left. The legends NIUE ISLAND, ELIZABETH II, 2020, and 1 DOLLAR are inscribed along the orbital arcs, with the Czech Mint mark CM also present in the field. |

| Reverse description | The reverse features a large, vivid full-colour depiction of Venus dominating the left and central portion of the field, rendered with remarkable detail showing the planet's swirling orange and amber cloud formations against a deep black background. To the right, engraved in frosted relief against the mirror-polished dark field, concentric orbital arcs sweep across the surface, along which the Sun and at least one additional planetary body are depicted in raised relief. The engravers' marks of Asamat Baltaev and Jiří Hanuš appear in the lower left field. The legend VENUS is inscribed in raised capital letters along the lower portion of the field. |
