| 正面描述 | Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait, wearing a diadem and pearl drop earrings. The legend QUEEN ELIZABETH II arcs across the upper field, while the denomination 1 DOLLAR, the issuer TUVALU, and the date 2007 are inscribed in the lower field. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a frosted background typical of proof coinage. |

Part of a broader Australian-market commemorative program issued through Tuvalu in the mid-2000s, this coin marks the Siege of Sevastopol — the brutal eleven-month Anglo-French-Ottoman campaign against the city during the Crimean War of 1854–55. Tuvalu's role is purely nominal; the series was produced by the Perth Mint under a longstanding arrangement that uses Tuvalu's issuing authority for collector silver.
The siege effectively ended Russian naval dominance in the Black Sea and forced the demolition of Sevastopol's own fortifications under the terms of the 1856 Treaty of Paris.
