Reverse description Central to the design is a full-color photographic reproduction of the iconic golden funerary mask of Pharaoh Tutankhamun, rendered with vivid polychrome detail depicting the striped nemes headdress, uraeus cobra and vulture, false beard, and broad collar of the celebrated artifact. To the right of the color image, an incuse relief portrait of Tutankhamun in profile is engraved into the field, accompanied by faint hieroglyphic imagery in the background. The legend 'TUTANKHAMUN' arcs along the upper rim in Latin script, with the Arabic inscription 'توت عنخ آمون' immediately below. To the upper right, the 'HISTORY OF EGYPT' series logo featuring the Eye of Horus is present in the field. The date '2012' appears in the lower exergue.
