| Reverse description | Central design featuring a stylized ancient Egyptian winged scarab beetle rendered in gold gilding, its broadly spread wings occupying the lower and lateral portions of the field. At the center of the scarab's body, a circular inset of genuine turquoise stone is set, evoking the solar symbolism of the Egyptian deity Khepri. Above the scarab, a stylized lotus and papyrus floral motif is depicted in relief along the upper arc of the field. The polished silver field provides a strong contrast to the gilt scarab and the vivid blue-green of the turquoise inlay. The reverse carries no inscriptions. |
