| 背面描述 | The reverse presents a finely detailed naturalistic composition depicting two trumpeter swans (Cygnus buccinator) gliding upon calm water, designed by engraver Christie Paquet. The foreground swan faces right with its long neck gracefully extended upward, while the second swan is shown slightly behind and to the left, both birds rendered with careful attention to feather texture and water reflections. A cluster of aquatic reeds rises prominently in the upper centre field, framing the scene. The legend CANADA arcs along the upper rim, with the denomination DOLLAR and date 2007 inscribed along the lower periphery, and the engraver's initials KB visible in the lower left field. |

The trumpeter swan dollar replaced the familiar loon for a single year as part of the Royal Canadian Mint's ongoing wildlife substitution program for collector specimen sets. These substitutions — issued only within the annual specimen set, never for general circulation — have become a minor collecting discipline of their own, with the swan being among the more visually distinctive of the series.
KM#688 was struck exclusively for set inclusion, keeping raw population figures modest relative to the standard loonie.
