Obverse description The obverse bears the fourth definitive effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, rendered in right-facing portrait by engraver Ian Rank-Broadley, whose initials IRB appear truncated below the bust. The surrounding legend reads ELIZABETH II NIUE ISLAND, with the denomination 1 DOLLAR and date 2013 also inscribed. Metallic specifications Ag 925 and 16,81 g are incorporated into the legend, along with the Mint of Poland mintmark mw. The design is executed in standard proof relief against a mirror-polished field.
