| Reverse description | The reverse features a neoclassical depiction of the Three Graces — three elegantly draped female figures standing in close embrace, rendered in the style of William Wyon's celebrated 1817 pattern coinage design. The central figure faces forward while her two companions flank her, their flowing Regency-era gowns rendered in fine relief. A circular cartouche bearing the coat of arms of the British Virgin Islands appears at the base of the composition. The Latin legend FOEDUS INVIOLABILE arcs across the upper field, split left and right of the central group, with the denomination $1 appearing in the lower exergue. The design is framed by an inner beaded border. |
