Part of the RCM's ongoing themed collector series, this issue draws on a solar motif tied to Indigenous artistic traditions — specifically the Haida and broader Northwest Coast visual vocabulary that the Mint has licensed and commissioned repeatedly since the early 2000s. The program was designed explicitly for the gift and collector market rather than circulation, and mintages were capped accordingly.
