Tokelau's coinage program is administered entirely through New Zealand, as the territory has no independent monetary authority and no mint of its own. This three-coin Last Judgement series was struck by the New Zealand Mint on behalf of Tokelau, a collector-market arrangement that has little to do with the atoll's roughly 1,500 residents and everything to do with licensed numismatic revenue.
Being the final installment of a three-part set, this piece was issued in limited quantity coordinated across all three releases to encourage complete-set acquisition.
