| Opschrift voorzijde | ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA DOLLAR (Translation: Elizabeth II Queen by the grace of God) |
| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse, designed by Canadian artist Jori van der Linde, depicts the gold discovery that ignited the Klondike Gold Rush of 1896. Beneath a radiant sun, the figures of Keish (Skookum Jim Mason), Shaaw Tlàa (Kate Carmack), Kàa Goox (Dawson Charlie), and George Carmack are shown panning for gold along the bank of Gàh Dek (Rabbit Creek/Bonanza Creek), all rendered in a dynamic pictorial style. On the opposite bank, the pictorial symbol for Ëdhä Dädhëchą (Moosehide Slide) appears as a tribute to the Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in people and their ancestral connection to the land. The legend CANADA and dates 1896 and 1921 frame the design, accompanied by the artist's initials JV, with KLONDIKE inscribed as the commemorative inscription. |
