| Reverse description | Full-colour reproduction of Michelangelo Buonarroti's celebrated fresco 'The Creation of Adam' (1508–1512), painted on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City, occupies the left portion of the rectangular reverse field. The scene depicts the outstretched arm of God approaching the languid figure of Adam, their fingertips nearly touching, rendered in vivid polychrome print set against the gold-plated border. To the right of the coloured panel, a vertical gold-plated cartouche bears the inscriptions 'MICHELANGELO BUONARROTI', his birth and death years '1475-1564', the Swedish-language title 'ADAMS SKAPELSE', and the dates of execution '1508-1512' in raised lettering. The contrast between the coloured artwork and the surrounding gold surface creates a distinctive presentation format characteristic of modern numismatic ingot-style issues. |
