Beschrijving voorzijde Right-facing diademed and draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II, rendered after the effigy designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, occupying the central field. The engraver's initials IRB appear below the truncation of the neck, accompanied by the fineness mark Ag999 to the right. The circular legend ELIZABETH II is inscribed along the upper left arc and NIUE ISLAND along the upper right arc, with the denomination 1 DOLLAR and date 2021 disposed along the lower arc, all separated by raised dot stops. An inner ring of raised beads frames the portrait field, with reeding visible at the coin's rim.

Beschrijving keerzijde A stylized ancient Egyptian solar scarab beetle (Scarabaeus sacer) rendered in high relief with vivid color application, depicted frontally with wings outstretched across the coin field. The beetle's body is finished in deep black enamel with orange-copper color detailing along the wings, which are elaborately feathered and symmetrically spread. Above the scarab, a crescent surmounts a large inset spherical cabochon of goldstone or sunstone, representing the solar disk, richly glittering with orange and gold aventurine inclusions. At the upper field, a row of stylized lotus or papyrus plants rendered in orange and black enamel crowns the composition, alluding to ancient Egyptian symbolism of rebirth and the sun god Ra. The polished silver background provides strong contrast to the colorful enameled elements, enhancing the overall decorative impact of the design.
