Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a tiered diamond tiara and drop earring, rendered in fine relief against a polished field. The truncation of the bust is plain and unadorned. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper left rim, while FIJI appears along the upper right rim, and the date 2009 is inscribed along the lower right, all in upright Latin capitals. The portrait corresponds to the Ian Rank-Broadley fourth effigy type.
