| Beschrijving keerzijde | Colorized commemorative design celebrating the sixth Shenzhou crewed spaceflight mission of 2005. At the left, the Long March rocket inscribed '神舟' (Shenzhou) rises from a launch pad, while at center two astronauts in spacesuits wave beside a billowing Chinese national flag in full color. The upper right field depicts a color-printed orbital satellite and a descending recovery capsule with parachute. The lower portion features a color map of China with the Jiuquan launch site marked. The Chinese inscription '神舟号 第六次 飞行纪念' (Shenzhou Sixth Flight Commemoration) and '酒泉' (Jiuquan) appear in the lower field, flanked by the legend '1 oz 999 Silver' along the left border and the date '2005' to the right. |

Issued to mark China's second crewed spaceflight, Shenzhou 6, which carried Fei Junlong and Nie Haisheng on a five-day mission in October 2005 — a significant step beyond the single-orbit Shenzhou 5 flight of 2003. Niue, a self-governing island territory in free association with New Zealand, has long licensed its coinage authority to third-party minting programs with no connection to its domestic economy.
The coin was almost certainly produced under contract by a private mint, with Niue's legal tender status providing the numismatic framework. KM#188 is one of dozens of such commemorative issues attributed to Niue from this period.
