Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the fourth portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, rendered in gold plating against a ruthenium-finished field, wearing a diamond diadem and draped in robes. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper left periphery, with NIUE ISLAND continuing along the upper right. Below the portrait, the denomination and date read 1 DOLLAR 2019 along the lower arc. The engraver's initials IRB appear beneath the truncation of the bust, alongside the purity mark Ag 999. A beaded border frames the entire design.

Reverse description Highly detailed depiction of a winged scarab beetle rendered in gold plating against a ruthenium-darkened field, evoking ancient Egyptian iconography. The scarabaeus occupies the lower centre, its body and legs finely textured, with broad outstretched wings extending to either side in a symmetrical composition. A large, domed ruby gemstone inlay is set above the beetle, representing the solar disc traditionally associated with the scarab deity Khepri. Above the gemstone, an elaborate fan of stylized lotus and papyrus blossoms in gold relief crowns the design. The overall treatment combines antique finish with selective gold plating to create a striking contrast.
