Issued to mark the July 1986 marriage of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, this is one of dozens of commemorative dollars Cook Islands produced through the 1980s under licensing arrangements that had little to do with local monetary needs. The .925 silver version, KM#32a, exists alongside a base-metal counterpart — the "a" suffix distinguishing the silver striking in the KM sequence.
