Additional information

Part of Perth Mint's "Legends of the Sherwood Forest" series, this release sits in an unusual product category — a legal tender Australian dollar struck in fine silver, nominally issued under the Australian Currency Act, but designed entirely for the collector market. The Robin Hood legend itself has no particular Australian connection; Perth's licensing of English folk mythology for bullion coinage reflects the mint's aggressive international collectibles strategy during the 2000s and early 2010s.

KM#185 is the opening issue of the series, paired with a matching Maid Marian release the same year.
