| Reverse description | A draped bust of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother faces slightly left, wearing a tiara and pearl necklace, rendered in high frosted relief against a mirror-polished field. The circumferential legend 'QUEEN ELIZABETH THE QUEEN MOTHER' arcs along the upper border, with '95TH BIRTHDAY - 4TH AUGUST 1995' inscribed below it following the curve of an inner beaded border. The date '1995' appears beneath the bust, and the denomination 'ONE DOLLAR' is inscribed along the lower rim. Two small ornamental stars flank the design at the sides of the inner border. |

| Additional information |
Barbados issued this coin the same year the Queen Mother turned 95 — an age that had by then made her something of a constitutional curiosity, having outlived three monarchs and remained a working royal well into her tenth decade. The Central Bank had produced a similar commemorative for her 90th birthday in 1990, making this part of a deliberate quinquennial series rather than a one-off tribute.
