| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the George IV State Diadem, rendered in high relief after the portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, whose initials 'IRB' appear beneath the truncation. The legend 'ELIZABETH II' arcs along the upper left rim and 'NIUE ISLAND' along the upper right, both in raised Latin capitals separated by a beaded border. The denomination '1 DOLLAR' is inscribed along the lower rim, flanked by the purity mark 'Ag 999' and the date '2018' on the right side of the field. A dotted inner border frames the entire design. |

| Reverse description | A colorfully enameled Qianlong-period Chinese gourd-shaped porcelain vase occupies the central field, decorated with intricate floral scrollwork, lotus motifs, and geometric fretwork in polychrome hues of green, rust-red, and lavender. A magnificent gilt dragon, rendered in high-relief gold plating, coils around the vase from the lower left, its scaled body arching over the top of the vase and descending on the right side, where a gilt phoenix is also depicted. The background features an engraved pattern of traditional Chinese cloud and key-fret ornamental motifs against a frosted silver field, evoking the decorative vocabulary of imperial Chinese art. The overall composition is encircled by a raised beaded border. |
