| Reverse description | Central design features a stylized poppy flower in high relief, its rounded petals overlapping and framing a textured seed pod at the centre, superimposed upon a large maple leaf whose lobes extend toward the periphery of the field. A decorative ribbon scroll at the base bears the bilingual legend 'REMEMBER / SOUVENIR', evoking the tradition of Remembrance Day commemoration. The legend 'CANADA DOLLAR 2004' arcs along the upper portion of the field, and the engraver's initials 'CS' appear in the lower right field. The composition is executed in proof finish with a polished field contrasting against the frosted relief elements. |
