Additional information

Issued under the Australian legal tender framework but marketed globally as a collectible, this coin is part of Perth Mint's licensed series commemorating the centenary of J.M. Barrie's 1911 stage publication of the Peter Pan story. Barrie famously bequeathed the copyright of Peter Pan to Great Ormond Street Hospital in London in 1929, a gift that continued generating royalty income for the hospital for decades and required a specific Act of Parliament in 1988 to extend those rights beyond the standard copyright term.
