| Description du revers | Central field features a full-colour applied print depicting a scene of British Allied soldiers advancing across Pegasus Bridge, the famous bascule bridge over the Caen Canal in Normandy, France, captured during the early hours of D-Day on 6 June 1944. Three soldiers wearing green berets and carrying rifles are shown in the foreground, with the distinctive steel lattice superstructure of the bridge rising behind them. The scene is rendered in a painterly illustrative style. A broad dark border encircles the coloured vignette, with the legend D-DAY TO VICTORY arcing across the upper border and the commemorative dates 6th JUNE 1944 – 8th MAY 1945 inscribed along the lower border. |
