| 背面描述 | A detailed coloured representation of the iconic Norton Commando 750 motorcycle dominates the central field, depicted in three-quarter right-facing profile against a vivid streaked background of amber, gold, and deep red evoking motion and speed. The motorcycle is rendered with fine mechanical detail including spoked wheels, twin exhaust pipes, and engine casing. The lower portion of the field features a contrasting black and silver geometric design element. The inscription NORTON in stylised script appears at lower left, with COMMANDO 750 in bold lettering beneath, and the dollar sign denomination $1 at lower right. The Perth Mint's P mintmark appears at lower left near the motorcycle. |

The Norton Commando 750 entered production in 1968 and was named — somewhat improbably — not after a military unit but after a Nortonville marketing meeting where the word was chosen purely for its aggressive sound. The 750cc air-cooled parallel twin became one of the last serious commercial challenges British motorcycle manufacturing would mount before the industry collapsed under competition from Japanese manufacturers in the 1970s.
Perth's bullion and collector series frequently licenses British cultural and industrial icons, and this coin falls within a broader motorcycle-themed run. The Commando's selection was fitting: it won Motor Cycle News "Machine of the Year" every year from 1968 through 1972.
